Paralegal Duties: Drafting pleadings. Preparing discovery; filing documents with the court. Preparing trial exhibits; preparing witnesses for court. Communicating with clients. Answer calls and emails from prospective and existing clients; and other paralegal responsibilities as required.
Qualifications: High school or equivalent preferred. 2+ years of family law paralegal experience. Effective communication skills. Advanced knowledge in computer technology and the Internet (MS Word and Excel) and the ability to learn new programs easily. Multi-tasking skills and the ability to work well under pressure. Attention to detail and accuracy. Reliability and dependability. Ability to work in a confidential environment maintaining client confidentiality at all times. Problem analysis and problem-solving. Good time management skills. Excellent clear, concise, and effective communication skills. Must also be a positive person. Familiarity with legal software, such as MyCase is a plus. Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
