Real Estate Closer / Paralegal - West Des Moines Posted on September 15, 2021 Davis Brown seeks an experienced Real Estate Closer/Paralegal to join our West Des Moines office. This full-time position is responsible for facilitating all closing actions in a real estate transaction from pre- through post-closing, including closing attendance. Responsibilities Prepare and review all documents involved in a real estate closing transaction, creating high quality document closing packages Attend closings, explaining details of closing package Ensure all documents and balances required to complete a sales and mortgage transaction are properly prepared and executed Receive payments and initiate account deposits Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred At least two years of real estate closing experience required Familiarity with reviewing abstracts and title certificates Knowledge of legal documents with the ability to analyze and evaluate documents as they relate to closings Self-starter, highly motivated and able to work within a team as well as independently, with little supervision Ability to work well in a fast paced, deadline driven environment An outstanding work ethic and top notch customer service skills A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as exceptional organizational skills to ensure closing deadlines are met while providing high quality closing document packages Proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally, providing exemplary customer service Exceptional attendance and dependability Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as the ability to learn required systems Davis Brown offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
