Legal Secretary Responsibilities: Handle a full range of administrative responsibilities to support the firm s Partners and their team of Associates. Seamlessly prepare legal documents including but not limited to: pleadings, motions, memorandas of law, contracts, etc.. Screen and route telephone calls to the proper team members. Prepare correspondence, respond to emails and direct as appropriate. Transcribe and proofread legal documents. File, organize, scan, copy and fax legal documents. File documents with the court ahead of deadlines. Maintain document management system. Proofread and input proper formatting for all relevant legal documents. Qualifications: 3+ years experience as a paralegal or legal secretary in the litigation sector Strong knowledge of creating legal documentation and terminology Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Must be extremely polished. Able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Courteous and professional demeanor. Able to work well with a team of attorneys and paralegals. Strong sense of discretion. Excellent organizational skills.
