Legal Secretary Duties: Heavy document production. Answers and screens attorney s telephone calls, and arranges conference calls Maintain calendar, coordinates attorney s schedule and makes appointments. Organizes and maintains file system, and files correspondence and other records. Maintain timely input of attorney timesheets into the timekeeper system. Make copies of correspondence or other printed materials. Assist other secretaries as needed. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar, varies writing style to meet needs, able to read and interpret written information. Qualifications: 5+ years of previous legal secretary experience. Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office and various legal software applications. Heavy knowledge of Word, plus basic Excel and PowerPoint knowledge. Must have exceptional knowledge of Outlook calendaring and scheduling. Experience with billing is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be extremely detail oriented, organized and have great follow through skills. Must have the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Has the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Strong overall administrative skills including, time sheets, travel, expense reports, copying, scanning and coordination of filing. Strong interpersonal skills.
