Immigration Attorney - Litigation The candidate must have 3+ years of experience to join the Immigration Litigation department. Should have experience practicing removal defense in immigration court. Will be expected to handle cases in the Tucson, Eloy, and Florence immigration courts. Experience litigating defensive asylum-based applications, applications for Cancellation of Removal and adjustment of status, and demonstrated competence in detention and bond advocacy is essential. Should have strong research and writing skills as they will be expected to handle appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals and the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Opportunities to litigate civil actions, including habeas and APA claims, in the US District Court also exist. Fluency or high level of proficiency speaking Spanish preferred. Arizona or other State Bar admission is required.
