Associates are allowed to choose the practice areas and specific assignments that interest them, and they will be challenged with responsibility and client contact.
Intellectual Property Legal Secretary The candidate will support attorneys and paralegals in connection with all aspects of managing a legal practice, primarily including case management of patent prosecution and trademark matters. Assist with managing and tracking attorney docket deadlines. Participate in projects to improve processes and workflows within the legal team. Prepare, edit and finalize legal documents, client correspondence, memos, and reports. Maintain and enter time charges into the billing system as needed. Update calendars, schedule meetings, and conferences.
The candidate must have 3+ years of legal experience preferred; a positive attitude, be proactive, flexible, and a team player; strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Professional; skilled with the use of electronic document management systems; strong organizational, communication and client services abilities; detail-oriented with excellent grammar and spelling skills; ability to prioritize needs based on urgency, multi-task and work in a fast-paced team-orientated environment, work overtime, when needed. Aderant and FileSite experience a plus. Should demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative, a desire to forge powerful relationships, hone their skills, and deliver excellent work to advance their career.
