Paralegal Administrator Duties: Collaborate with Department Chairs and the Human Resources Manager to help ensure the effective utilization of paralegals firm-wide and address improvements, training and technology needs, staffing issues, skills gap and general concerns as needed. Manage the recruitment of the firm s paralegals including; meeting with attorneys to assess paralegal needs, drafting job descriptions for open positions, scheduling and interviewing candidates and coordinating orientation and training of new paralegals. Maintain contact with the paralegals to determine workloads, training needs, and job satisfaction. Conduct monthly or quarterly meetings with the paralegals in each department. In partnership with the HR department, manage the paralegal evaluation processes, compensation adjustments (merit increases, market adjustments, bonus awards, etc.) and assist in the performance management counseling and termination processes for paralegals. Develop a recognition program for firm wide paralegals. Travel to each office periodically to stay connected with the paralegals in order to build effective relationships. Requirements: Bachelor's degree is required 8+ years paralegal experience Prior management experience is required Exceptional interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability Proactive problem solver with excellent analytical and reasoning skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Must be a thoughtful leader and demonstrate the ability to manage and solve complex problems, establish priorities and organize work.
