Estate Planning & Trust Administration Paralegal The candidate will assist on estate Planning, Trust Administration and Probate. Will assist with drafting Revocable Trusts, Irrevocable Trusts and ancillary Estate Planning Documents. Assist attorneys in all stages of estate planning, probate and trust administration (i.e. asset collection, appraisals, estate planning documentation, asset allocation agreements, preparation of documents related to the transfer of entity interests. Ensure proper setup and maintenance of client files utilizing the firm's processes as well as creating physical file folders and labels (copying, scanning, and profiling all original documents and emails). Perform routine trust accounting. Obtain tax identification number for trust. Obtain the Will and draft necessary documents to file will with probate court. Obtain taxpayer I.D. number for estates from the IRS. Draft distribution schedule and, as appropriate, coordinate and/or direct the distribution of assets. Work with estate accountant to obtain federal and state tax clearance. Draft all routine documents in a probate proceeding. Draft deeds and real estate tax affidavits. Coordinate with co-workers for project completion and success. The candidate should have 5+ years of experience in Estate Planning & Trust Administration. Must have Paralegal certificate. Probate experience a plus. Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat, Excel. Wealth Docs and CLIO experience is a plus. Must have strong spelling, writing and editing skills, including proof reading. Excellent presentation and attitude to deliver customized service to clients is required.
