Legal Secretary Duties: Create and manage case files. Assisting the attorney in document preparation, word processing, case file organization and other administrative tasks. Answers telephones taking detailed messages. E-filing. Maintains confidential information in a professional and trustworthy manner. Investigative research. Requirements: College degree a must. Legal secretary certificate preferred. 2-5 years of legal secretary experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook). Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion with limited guidance. Must be able to work in a team environment and maintain positive and productive relationships with co-workers and vendors. Excellent organization skills. Must be comfortable speaking by telephone with attorneys, judicial officers and company officials.
