Business Trial Paralegal Responsibilities: Analyze facts and create time lines and chronologies for cases. Document and database management, including electronic data review and analysis. Review and identify key testimony for depositions, motions, trial, and appeals. Create document management systems and prepare attorneys for depositions, oral argument, trial, and support appeals. Collaborate with in house counsel, outside counsel, external vendors, and other internal IT groups. Draft, issue, and manage subpoenas for records depositions, witness depositions and attendance at trial. Draft routine legal documents including, deposition notices, witness and exhibit lists. Cite-checking and blue booking briefs, memorandum, white papers, etc. Work as part of a team with all levels of experiences, as well as independently, while being productive and proactive. Function as key support on discovery issues, including coordinating document review, working in an electronic review platforms including relativity, CaseMap, etc., serving electronic productions via various methods, including secure file transfer protocol. Assist with analysis of financial data and prepare damage calculations. Function as key support at trial and with trial preparation, including preparing trial exhibits and trial exhibit lists, and tracking exhibits at trial; taking lead on and handling logistical issues; preparing direct exam and cross-exam binders with exhibits; obtaining daily transcripts and distributing to team; assist with demonstratives; prepare trial subpoenas, etc. Qualifications: must have 5 years litigation paralegal experience with experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department. A highly motivated self-starter with excellent writing, analytical, technical, organizational and administrative skills. Able to handle multiple projects and changing priorities and work independently, as well as part of a team. Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, determine priorities, plan, organize and follow through with minimal supervision. Experience preparing for and assisting in trials and/or arbitration hearings. Experience with litigation software, including, but not limited to, Relativity. Demonstrated understanding of state and federal rules a plus. Additional qualifications include excellent analytical and organizational abilities, solid communication and management skills, strong computer abilities, creativity and initiative. Bachelor's Degree. ABA approved Paralegal Certificate. Must have a high-level experience with a range of practice group support applications.
