Legal Secretary The candidate will be responsible for: Assist attorneys in maintaining calendars, preparing for hearings, recording billable hours, and arranging travel. Prepare, format, and edit legal documents, such as complaints, pleadings, motions, stipulations, discovery requests, and other legal documents using Microsoft Word. Perform receptionist duties, such as directing incoming calls, scheduling meetings, and greeting visitors. Provide administrative support, such as setting up for meetings, ordering lunches, and ordering/stocking office and kitchen supplies. Must be able to type a minimum of 60 words per minute with high accuracy. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word's styles. Knowledge of legal terminology and legal citations required. Excellent grammar and spelling skills essential. Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience working as a Legal Secretary or in a legal environment strongly preferred.
