Part-time Paralegal - Family Law The candidate will draft legal documents, including: Financial Affidavits, Motions, Complaints, Answers, Discovery in the form of Interrogatories, Requests for Production of Documents and Admissions, Equitable Distribution Inventories, Separation Agreements, Notices, and Orders. Will calendar all case deadlines. Perform a wide variety of legal research and data compilation. Prepare correspondence, calendar cases for hearing. Prepare affidavits and court filings. Assist in trial preparation, including making, copying and organizing exhibits, compiling exhibit notebooks, preparing subpoenas, and managing witness scheduling. Assist attorneys in preparation for depositions. Communicate with clients, the courts, witnesses, experts and opposing counsel. Must have excellent writing skills, telephone and people skills. Should be familiar with Case Management Software, preferably Practice Panther. The candidate should preferably have North Carolina State Bar Certification. Must have 2+ years of experience in an NC Family Law practice. Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) essential. Superior written and communication skills needed. The ability to read, write, and speak in Spanish is strongly preferred.
