Real Estate Paralegal Responsibilities: Primary point of contact with Real Estate Agents, Lenders, Builders, Clients and other parties. Assist closing attorneys with the review of contracts, title work, and commitments. Opening Files (as needed), Ordering Payoffs and HOAs. Assist with the drafting of legal documents as needed. Review, identify and resolve title issues and survey matters. Record legal documents and disburse closing proceeds. Prepare and issue final title policies. Handle client and lender funds and balances files for closing. Handle incoming funds, wire transfers, cutting checks, balancing files, etc. Balancing and finalizing Closing Disclosures. Professionally communicate with all parties throughout the closing process and after. Provide administrative support to the office as needed: answering the phone and greeting clients. Qualifications: Must have 2+ years experience in practice areas that relate to real estate and real estate transactions and experience organizing and coordinating closings and post-closings. Experience and familiarity with title insurance is required. Experience with Qualia or similar title production and closing software program. High level of accuracy, attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills. High level of organizational skills and time management skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills required to communicate effectively with direct team members, buyers/sellers, real estate agents, lenders and other parties. Strong analytical skills with ability to read, comprehend and summarize legal documents and contracts. Ability to pivot between responsibilities to meet tight deadlines and shifting demands and priorities. An entrepreneurial attitude and work ethic with a desire to roll up your sleeves and get the job done in a fast-paced environment and rapidly growing business. Willingness to be flexible about your work schedule to support closings and to meet deadlines. work equally well in an independent and a team environment, and you re a proactive self-starter who understands the details within a much larger context. Proficiency using additional software; Outlook, Adobe, Word and Excel. Paralegal certification preferred. Bachelor's Degree, paralegal certificate preferred, but not required.
