Paralegal Responsibilities: Manage high volume civil litigation cases from inception to settlement or judgment. Monitor and track status of cases by inputting information into case management software. Draft correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery, case management statements, notices, and briefs. E-file. Proofread and finalize documents for accuracy before filing. Trial preparation (prepare exhibit binders, witness statements and briefs). Review and analyze case files to determine settlement potential. Provide miscellaneous administrative support to attorneys and others on the Paralegal team. Manage other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Certification from an ABA-approved paralegal program. 3-4 years of paralegal experience in a civil litigation firm. Knowledge of state courts, rules of civil procedure, and e-filing. Experience with case management/legal database software. Time Matters is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
