Paralegal/Legal Assistant Duties: Draft correspondence and legal documents; create, organize, and maintain case and correspondence files; perform legal research and prepare legal memoranda; file legal documents at federal and state courts using PACER/ECF or equivalent state court systems; prepare for upcoming trials; manage accounts receivable/payable; and otherwise assist attorneys. Qualifications: BS/BA degrees is preferred. Proficiency in WordPerfect, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and other Microsoft Office programs is also required. Proficiency in Abacus, Abacus Accounting and Billing, Quicken, and QuickBooks is desired. Familiarity with computer networks is preferred. Mastery of the English language is required. Legal experience is preferred, but entry level may be OK, provided that the candidate is exceptionally bright and hardworking. Schedule: 25-40 hours per week.
