Legal Secretary/Assistant The candidate will join civil litigation and insurance defense firm. Should have 3+ year Legal Secretary/Assistant. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel. Minimum of 2+ years of previous Insurance Defense experience in a law firm required. This position plays an intricate role in the day-to-day operations as the legal assistant will assist with case management, legal document preparation, billing projects, and time entry. Job duties will include scanning incoming mail, calendaring deadlines, speaking with clients and various courts, occasional runs to the court, legal document preparation and retrieving the mail along with other general office duties. At least 2+ years of experience in Insurance Defense. Bodily Injury experience is a big plus. Expertise with reviewing medical records and compiling medical chronologies. Excellent communication skills, typing skills, computer skills and interpersonal skills and professional appearance. Active knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure, preparing and responding to discovery, subpoenas as well as knowledge and experience in preparing basic legal documents and pleadings. Be familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word and Excel.
