Legal Secretary The candidate will support legal teams focused on 2 distinct practices: 1) real estate law, and 2) government, lobbying & public law. Candidates should have: 1) at least 3 years of law office experience as an executive or administrative assistant, and/or legal secretary, and 2) an interest in the practice areas. coordinating client and government entity meetings, including public notice postings, meeting material preparation and dissemination, and related electronic set-up; preparation and circulation of client newsletters and reports; exceptional word processing, document preparation, editing, and proofing skills; electronic filing of legal, registration, and compliance documents; positive communication and phone skills with clients and government officials; mastering legislative tracking sites, such as Telicon, Texas Legislature Online, and congress.gov; maintaining electronic and physical files, and updating practice materials; managing calendars; assisting with answering phones; processing attorney and staff time entries; processing invoices. Should have an associate degree (bachelor's degree preferred) and a notary certification, be detail oriented, have strong organizational skills, be able to multi-task with a sense of urgency, and be fully proficient in Word, Outlook, Adobe, Zoom, MS Teams, QuickBooks, with a general working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. Also, must be fully competent and comfortable with online search and research functions. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required.
