Commercial Real Estate Paralegal The candidate will be coordinating due diligence for a variety of real estate transactions (primarily commercial, with some residential), including, acquisitions and dispositions, borrowings, etc. Preparing closing checklists and coordinating the closing process. Working closely with buyers, sellers, brokers, and lenders. Reviewing lien searches, and surveys and summarizing title insurance commitments. Draft, review, revise title insurance commitments, policies and standard and special title endorsements. Preparing and filing a variety of documents, including, deeds, mortgages, memoranda of leases, UCC financing statements, etc. Communicate with clients and other parties as necessary to gather information and documentation necessary to clear title matters. Collaborate with title insurance underwriters to resolve title issues and negotiate special and affirmative coverages. Coordinate with project attorney and closing attorney the gathering and transmission of information, documents, reports and other materials necessary to facilitate the closing of commercial real estate transactions. Assist in the drafting of deed of conveyance, easements, releases and other real estate related legal documents. Due diligence reviews of property documents, title commitments, title exceptions, title endorsements, surveys, zoning reports and leases. The candidate should have minimum of 4-7 years of experience, preferably with commercial property transactions. Proficient in Softpro (or Landtech), Microsoft Word and Excel. Paralegal certification or Associate Degree required. Knowledge of title exceptions and requirements. Knowledge of corporate and company structures.
