Legal Secretary Duties: Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting editing, reviewing, copying and transmitting text Strong working knowledge of MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Strong time management skills Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail; Must possess initiative, flexibility, resiliency, and a willingness to adapt to change; Preparation of daily time entries for assigned attorneys and submits in a timely manner. Preparation of expense reports Preparation of billing letters and coordinates client billing matters with the billing staff in the Accounting Department; Review of draft bills and preparation of client billings; Calendar management Maintenance of electronic and hard copy files Perform special projects for attorneys, executives and legal assistants, and provide back-up secretarial coverage for the area/office when coverage is needed, this coverage includes any or all duties outlined above. Qualifications: Associates Degree or equivalent is required. 2+ years' relevant customer service experience, preferably in a legal, banking or large corporate environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments. Ability to work collectively with the team and everyone at the Firm. Understanding of all Firm equipment, including various software programs. Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality. Ability to prioritize work and to balance multiple projects and deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to use problem-solving skills. Flexibility with scheduled work hours and overtime.
