Experienced Property Damage Legal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate must have 3 to 5 years' experience for their Fort Lauderdale office. Candidate must be highly organized with strong research and writing skills. Candidate must be able to work independently and comply with all law firm policies and procedure. Intake and organization of voluminous production documents received from clients and opposing parties Preparing pleadings, discovery demands, discovery responses and other litigation documents at the request of the attorney Preparation of materials for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials to assist attorneys Ability to prioritize work load based on deadlines Communicate with attorneys to assist in all aspects of litigation Background in 1st party property: hurricane files, damage to homes, etc. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with attorneys, paralegals, and other office staff in a professional manner Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Must be able to work as part of a team or individually Willingness to complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion Strong knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel, and Outlook
