Legal Secretary The candidate must have 5 years legal experience. Must have experience researching or referencing information and materials in order to complete work and/or projects (e.g., Internet, files, data base, media, etc.). Must have experience performing clerical work to include drafting and typing letters and memos, proofing documents, drafting pleadings, answering telephones and handling client non-legal opinion questions. Should have Associates degree and/or Bachelor's degree in the Arts. Must be able to prepare cases and files for pretrial, litigation, Circuit Court by reviewing intake documents and/or gathering pertinent legal documents in order to present a case. Able to edit, review and or analyze legal documents, materials or other information such as motions, memorandum, letters, reports, correspondence, case files, court orders, police reports, interrogatories and depositions. Must be familiar with MS Office, WordPerfect, electronic filing (AlaFile, AlaCourt and Pacer) and Outlook. Excellent legal typing skills and good grammar are required.
