Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for supporting the firm in pre-litigation disputes and in all stages of litigation. Research case law, codes, ordinances, regulations, statutes, jury verdicts, decisions, legal articles and public records for case analysis. Prepare legal memoranda (i.e. briefs, motions, pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, evidence, etc.) and exhibits for various proceedings. File court documents. Prepare legal correspondence (i.e. representation letters, demand letters, etc.) for review by attorney. Develop and maintain organized client and case files for tracking/ monitoring information. Serve as the liaison between clients, vendors, courts and outside counsel. Conduct client intake and maintain client communication. Manage incoming and outgoing mail, scheduling, and other various tasks to ensure smooth office operations. Must have strong technical aptitude, including: proficiency in various legal applications, including Case Management systems (Clio Manage), and in use of Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel. Should have 2+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal. College degree required. Paralegal certificate preferred.
