Demonstrate ability to manage a high caseload and work within strict timelines. Monitor the status of all filed applications and petitions. Run reports to assist in managing one s own caseload. Assisting with the review of billing protocols and ensure that billing guidelines are met. Evaluate cases and assist in providing case strategies and/or solutions to issues. Provide company contacts with training and guidance regarding BAL systems and general immigration matters. Engage in frequent contact with company clients. Keep abreast of current regulations and procedures relating to filing applications. Works with clients to obtain documents and information necessary to prepare applications. Drafts support statements and organizes documentations for filling. Files and monitors applications and petitions with appropriate government agencies. Performs research to obtain information such as background on a company or industry, current wages, processing procedures, stand processing times, etc. Initiates contact with government officials to obtain necessary information to alert supervising attorney of potential delays or possible problems in the processing of an application. The candidate must have ability to excel within an extremely high volume environment. Must have ability to make sound judgment calls. Must have ability to work well with minimal supervision. Must have ability to catch errors and correct the work of others. Should have superior client service skills. Must have ability to prioritize cases, manage caseload and other tasks (i.e. projects, company management responsibilities, etc.). Should have ability to meet deadlines and goals Physical Requirements. Must have able to maintain a sedentary position for up to 90% of the work day. Should have able to type and to grasp, grip, push and pull file drawers and doors. Should have able to walk and climb stairs or use elevator to coordinate with other departments. Effect portfolio transfers and manage multi-client portfolios. Prepare and file powers of attorney and letters of instruction. Assist in trademark filing strategy discussions and due diligence. Assist with preparation and filing of responses of Office Actions. 3+ years of experience preferred. Should have extensive knowledge of U.S. trademark rules and procedure; working knowledge of national laws of other countries; knowledge of Paris Convention and deadlines set therein and familiarity with the Madrid Protocol. Should be proficient with electronic research tools such as Saegis, USPTO and WIPO databases; and conduct preliminary trademark searches and proficient with USPTO electronic trademark filing systems. Experience with Intellectual Property docketing systems required. Knowledge of filing requirements for convention (foreign) applications required. High level of proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office Suite applications, Adobe Acrobat, Lexis/Nexis, Westlaw and other internet research tools required.
