Legal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate will help with firm administration, marketing, and case review. This position involves exposure to all workings of a growing law practice and would be ideal for a candidate considering law school in several years. Duties would include: Initial case screening, including initial phone interviews. Drafting engagement and retainer agreements. Drafting marketing copy, blog posts. Analyzing document discovery and compiling case chronologies or proof charts Opening and closing case files. Assisting with filings and working with process servers and filing services. Tracking case budgets and expenses. Should have proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word and SharePoint; ability to format legal documents and assemble document parts for uniformity of presentation. Must have ability to quickly and accurately proofread and review work product for formatting and typos. Familiarity with working in template documents is required. The candidate with year of experience working at a civil litigation firm are strongly preferred. Candidates with less experience and a strong interest in the legal field are also encouraged to apply.
