Job Summary Romero Law, APC is a civil litigation and trial firm located in Pasadena that specializes in representing whistleblowers and employees in harassment, retaliation, and discrimination matters. We are currently seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Attorney to join our team. Job Responsibilities * Participate in ongoing litigation and trial preparation in the areas of employment law, whistleblowing, and civil rights. * Possess a high degree of competence and skill in the following areas: (1) project and calendar management; (2) discovery drafting and management; (3) law and motion practice (including motions for summary judgment and discovery motions); (4) evidence and document management; (5) legal research; (6) client management; and (7) trial preparation. * Maintain an affable yet closely-coordinated professional relationship with colleagues. * Possess impeccable judgment, maturity, and ability to self-manage assigned litigation/trial projects. * Gain first-hand experience with high-profile cases through litigation and trial. * Provide ample opportunity for second-chair trial experience, if desired. Job Requirements * Must possess a Juris Doctor degree. * Must hold a valid California Bar membership. * Must have at least two years of California state civil litigation experience. * Federal litigation experience is a major plus. * Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. * Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills. * Must have strong attention to detail. * Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
