** Seeks a Legal Secretary** is seeking a Legal Secretary with three to six years of litigation secretarial experience to join their Chicago office and become an integral part of the firm's support team. This position performs a variety of administrative tasks while demonstrating the ability to exercise good judgment, multi-task, and meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team, is highly organized, and is detail-oriented with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. Primary Responsibilities: - Download digital files to save in the appropriate client matter folders in the document management system (NetDocs) and network drives - Coordinate e-filing in state and federal court, including gathering exhibits, preparing the Table of Contents and Table of Authorities - Update and maintain physical files - Prepare legal documents, including formatting, proofreading, making revisions, and finalizing - Save documents in document management system (NetDocs) - Collaborate with other Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco Legal Assistants to provide support to attorneys across the firm - Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Strong technology skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro - Litigation knowledge and familiarity with state and federal court rules - Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing - Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills - Ability to work well in a team environment - Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments under time pressure - Ability to take initiative and follow through on projects - Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced, ever-changing working environment and successfully adapt to changing priorities and working demands - Ability to work in the office three days a week and remotely two days a week Education/Experience/Certifications: - Minimum AA degree; bachelor's degree desirable - Three to six years of recent legal secretarial experience **Law Firm Seeks Experienced Legal Secretary** is looking for a Legal Secretary with three to six years of litigation secretarial experience to join their Chicago office and become an integral part of their support team. The individual who is hired for this role will be required to work in the office Monday through Friday while they become familiar with the firm's processes and procedures. Then a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days remote will be considered.
