Legal Assistant Paralegal The candidate will assist in administrative duties as needed. Correspond with clients, banks, and other federal and local government institutions. Attend to docket notifications for each of the ongoing cases. Manage scheduling for deadlines, depositions, meetings, and travel. Group, organize, and review pre-litigation documents and exhibits for witnesses. Create letters, memos, and various documents as needed for attorney use. Assist in the drafting and reviewing of subpoenas, ECF filings, and internal documents. Conduct and analyze legal research, as well as Federal and Local Rules per case. Retrieve copyright and trademark information for ongoing or future litigation matters. Keep in regular contact with each attorney to begin/continue assigned projects. Should have 2-3 years of previous Paralegal experience. May consider candidates with other legal field/legal research experience. Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Westlaw, SharePoint & Mac OSX. Knowledge of Pacer/ECF and USPTO filing systems. Ability to prioritize and multitask while meeting tight or short-notice deadlines. Superb written and verbal communication skills. Detail orientation, tremendous organization, and flexibility. Positive attitude and ability to work well in groups or teams.
