Legal Secretary Duties: Support multiple attorneys within these practice areas. Tasks include, covering heavy Traditional Labor and Litigation desk, court and administrative agency filings, service of process, correspondence, transcription, creating shells for pleadings and discovery and motions, general word processing. Requirements: High school diploma, College degree preferred. 5+ years of litigation experience in CA state and federal trial and appellate courts. Requires both Traditional Labor and Litigation experience. Strong initiative and knowledge of general and e-filing guidelines and motion and civil procedures. Familiarity with researching state, federal and appellate rules and standing orders. Knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel, TOC and TOA. Traditional Labor experience. Litigation experience; specifically labor and employment. Typing 65+ wpm. Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent proofreading skills. Ability to multi-task, and timely respond to deadlines as well as balance workload. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with supervisor, attorneys, and support staff on every level. Excellent organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
