Trademark/Copyright Paralegal, Part-time, Temporary, Contract Duties: Support attorneys with all aspects of trademark registration matters in US and foreign jurisdictions, including trademark clearance searches and opinions, including: Communicating with foreign counsel. Researching and gathering evidence. Drafting correspondence and legal documents such as affidavits, declarations, and other legal documents for attorney review. Initiating and overseeing the recording of assignments, name changes, address changes and chain of title changes, and preparing related documents as necessary. Preparing summaries and running reports data entry, docketing, and trademark database maintenance. Other trademark-related projects and/or other projects, as may be necessary from time to time. Qualifications: 4-year degree. Paralegal Certificate. 2 years of paralegal experience with an emphasis on trademark clearance, registration and conflict in both domestic and international jurisdictions. Experience with Anaqua, eDOCs, and Serengeti. Knowledge of foreign and domestic trademark country laws and requirements. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong research and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail. Superior organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize workload. Ability to handle a high volume of deadline-intensive work. Strong follow-up and follow-through skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Experience with working effectively in a collaborative team environment. Self-starter with an excellent work ethic and commitment to professionalism. Ability to recognize and eliminate inefficiencies and promote continuous improvement. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office software programs, Adobe software, trademark database software, billing software, document management software, and online research skills. Willingness to learn and use new research materials and practice tools. Preference giving to those with the following issues: Transactional experience. Prior sales or customer service experience.
