Intellectual Property Patent Paralegal The candidate will have 3 years of intellectual property experience, previous domestic and foreign filing experience, and strong computer and research skills. General knowledge of intellectual property filing and prosecution rules/regulations is required. Experience with CPI docketing systems is preferred. Review and organize files, review docket for deadlines. Prioritize workload to meet foreign filing deadlines and due dates. Prepare and review appropriate correspondence from foreign associates and to clients and associates regarding new applications, formal requirements, filing details. Assist in filing of U.S. and PCT patent applications, both electronically and paper (including preparation and review of necessary filing documents). Must have extensive knowledge of U.S. patent rules and procedures; knowledge of PCT and/or national laws of other countries, Prepare, maintain, and update reports for clients regarding status of applications and patents, including reporting filing receipts for applications, publication notices, and forwarding patent certificates.
