Legal Secretary The candidate must know the basics of litigation to prepare discovery, issue subpoenaes, and pleadings. Must be able to use the Federal Court electronic filing system. Must be able to type dictation, preferably 70+ WPM. Must be proficient in Word and Word Perfect (we use both).The firm handles many complex construction, medical negligence and product liability cases that often involve many documents. Must have skills in document management. Spanish as a second language is a plus. Prior experience in preparing documents for trials such as motions in limine and jury instructions also a plus. Ability to work under time pressures (and with humor), is mandatory.
