Appellate Paralegal Clerk The candidate assist the appellate specialist in providing paralegal support to busy Supreme Court and Appellate Practice. Cite check briefs and motions drafted by Appellate Practice attorneys for stylistic and substantive accuracy. Prepare PDFs of appellate documents, including voluminous joint appendices. Prepare tables of contents and tables of authorities. Proofread documents drafted by Appellate Practice attorneys. Electronically file briefs in courts and oversee preparation and service of necessary printed copies. Prepare certain routine or procedural motions and documents. Coordinate with Clerks Offices as requested by Appellate Practice attorneys. Maintain confidentiality of client information. The candidate should preferably have a BS/BA degree. Interest in attending Law School is a strong plus. Must have strong interest in learning about the U.S. appellate courts and their workings. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word are an advantage. Should have excellent writing and analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills are desirable.
