Legal Secretary Responsibilities: Assisting with Federal & State filings. Discovery - meeting with clients and drafting responses. Calendaring of litigation deadlines and compliance. Pleadings - preparing motions, oppositions, etc. Trial Preparation. Assisting the attorneys with various tasks/assignments. Qualifications: 2 years' experience as a legal secretary preferred. Preferably a background in Employment, Civil Rights, and/or Personal Injury Law. Familiarity with California & Federal Procedures. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Must be knowledgeable with the following software programs: Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Work/Word Perfect, and Microsoft Outlook.
