Workers Compensation Paralegal Duties: Serve as legal team liaison to client representatives, third parties, and outside counsel to effectively manage flow and accuracy of information in workers compensation matters. Assist with sending and responding to written discovery. Provide support to and communicate with outside counsel regarding administrative charges, litigation matters, and discovery requests. Organize, maintain and supervise document collection for various matters. Assist with research, analyze and summarize legal sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, legal codes, and law-related information relevant to the worker's compensation practice. Routinely review and follow-up on client deadlines and calendar appointments. Consistently and professionally communicate with clients, opposing counsel, vendors, and firm personnel. Consistently complete assigned tasks when expected. Able to juggle multiple assignments and/or deadlines while maintaining a professional demeanor. Qualifications: Associates or Bachelors in Paralegal Studies are preferred, but those with comparable experience will be considered. Those with paralegal certificates will also be considered. 2+ years of experience as a paralegal in management defense work, worker's compensation, and/or labor & employment practices. Working knowledge of and case management systems; ICMS, DeskSite, iManage preferred. Familiarity with cloud-based file management software. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Qualifications: Strong legal writing skills. Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills. Excellent communication skills with clients and opposing counsel. Ability to effectively set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
