This position with C&F focuses on insurance defense, construction, trucking, and product defect matters. The firm has recently opened an Atlanta area location and is looking to add talented staff. This is a great opportunity for a motivated self starter with interest in joining a firm in its initial stages. About the Job The position would be assisting 2 to 3 attorneys in an paralegal role. An exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a dynamic team and work on a variety of interesting cases. Candidates must have paralegal certification. Applicants must have at least three to five (3-5) years of law office experience. Experience in bodily injury and wrongful death matters (e.g., premises liability, trucking, automobile negligence, medical malpractice, etc.) is strongly preferred. Some of the major responsibilities of the position include: Preparing and following up on subpoenas and other third-party discovery Summarizing medical records Drafting form discovery Preparing motions Coordinating with experts and scheduling IME's Summarizing depositions Social media searches Billing time using legal/time management software The ability to work under a team structure is essential as the support staff is the foundation of the firm. Constant communication with other administrative staff and attorneys is key. A professional demeanor with clients is a must. Applicants must include salary requirements to be fully considered.
