Legal Secretary Candidate will provide administrative, secretarial, and clerical support to solo practitioner attorney. Will include: Preparing correspondence; writing simple to moderately complex legal documents; proofreading documents and checking spelling and grammar; filing documents with the court; serving documents; organizing and maintaining files; receiving and screening telephone calls and visitors; scheduling appointments and maintaining a calendar for the office; and opening, reading, screening, and responding to mail. Will maintain a close and highly responsive relationship to the day-to-day activities of the attorney. Required proficiency in Word Perfect, Lexis, Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer tasks. Applicants must have great communication skills and be willing to learn new programs and procedures. Office specializes in personal injury, guardianships, conservatorships, trusts, wills, and probate.
