Associate Attorney - Commercial Litigation Candidate will work on a broad practice in diverse areas, including commercial litigation, with a specialty in bankruptcy. Can expect exposure to all areas of practice; professional growth; and competitive, commensurate short and long-term rewards. Will produce high quality legal work, and generate a minimum of 25 hours of billable work per week. Will be be involved in litigation of cases, responsible for proactively managing a diverse and expanding caseload, and establishing collaborative relationships with fellow associates and staff. Will be to develop and generate new clients for the firm. Candidate must be licensed to practice in New York State, and who have professional experience in practice; recent graduates who have taken or are preparing for admission to NYS Bar. Recent graduates must demonstrate a strong academic record and excellent writing skills. Admitted, experienced attorneys with exposure to commercial litigation, with deposition, motion practice and oral argument experience are desirable. Should demonstrate a superior focus on high quality work product. Other important competencies include: Ability to establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients. Proven ability and motivation to learn. Ability to assist in the aggressive development of business for the firm.Drive for success in resolution of all cases, and zeal for participation in trials and handling appeals.
