Family Attorney The candidate will organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current. Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings. Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action. Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process. Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients. Four year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary. Should have 1-2 years of working in a law firm on family law issues as well as real estate (determining marital property) is necessary. Should have 7+ years of Experience at a legal firm working on family law matters. Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association) is required.
