Nurse Paralegal Duties: Specializing in corporate and litigation matters involving the healthcare industry. Reviewing, organizing and analyzing medical records; preparing medical record summaries/chronologies; assessing alleged liability/causation/injuries; defining the applicable standard of care and identifying adherences to and any deviations from the standard of care; preparing and tracking medical record requests; drafting correspondence, pleadings, discovery demands and discovery responses; assisting in preparing for deposition and trial; and medical/legal research. Qualifications: A nursing degree and a current unrestricted Registered Nurse license required with Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Experience working in a law firm setting handling medical malpractice, dental malpractice and long-term care negligence cases a plus.
