Workers' Compensation Paralegal The candidate will open and close files, organize files, review bills, prepare various acknowledgment letters to the client, insured, and commission. Open, sort, route, and organize all mail. Log mail into case management software, docket specific deadlines, and tasks for attorneys. Scan and drop appropriate documents into ProLaw (pleadings, Commission filings, clocked forms, etc.). Coordinate IMEs and request medical records. Prepare settlement documents. General follow-up. Cooperate with co-workers. Work as a member of a team. Accept change in a productive manner. Perform other duties as assigned.
The candidate should be a Bachelors or better in Law or related field and an Associates's or better in Paralegal Studies. Should behave 4-years degree and/or certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program, along with 1-3 years of related work experience. Should preferably have been a Certified Prof Paralegal and an Accredited Legal Prof. Should preferably be a team player, detail-oriented, self-starter. Should focus on Goal Completion, Education, Motivation. Should be professional, motivated, organized, and possess exceptional oral and written communication skills.
