Associate Attorney - Commercial The candidate will join multi-state litigation law firm. Prepare pleadings and ancillary correspondence for all phases of litigation. Conduct motion practice and attend court when required during the litigation life cycle, which may include first-chairing trials. Effectively and responsively communicate with Firm clients, opposing counsel, opposing parties, and court staff. Implement strategies to collect on judgments obtained on behalf of clients. Conduct legal research required to make successful legal arguments and recommendations to Firm clients. Document account/file activity in accordance with Firm and client policies and procedures. Attend continuing education classes, webinars, and seminars to remain current and well-informed of any local, state or federal changes in the law, rules of court or court procedures. Provide guidance and training to administration staff. Other duties as assigned. The candidate must be MN licensed, Cross licensing preferred. The ideal candidate will have through knowledge of civil litigation rules and procedures with 2-5 years of experience in commercial civil litigation. Should have 5-8 years of commercial litigation experience. Qualified to practice law in the State of Arizona. Attorneys with multi-state licenses in California, Utah, or Wyoming, or ability to become licensed in any of these states are preferred. Should have J.D from an accredited law school. Should have Knowledge of federal, state and local laws. Should have ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations. Possesses a collaborative disposition.
