Paralegal Legal Assistant The candidate will provide administrative and legal support for an established P.I. firm. Will be responsible for handling the pre-litigation phase of personal injury cases from inception to settlement or through trial. Duties will include, but are not limited to writing pre-litigation demands, ensuring all records are obtained, managing discovery, expert disclosures, scheduling and noticing deposition, calendaring deadlines, assisting clients with the deposition and arbitration processes and more. The candidate should have at least 3 years of legal experience. Ability to work and interact professionally and effectively with all levels of staff and the general public. Proficiency in word processing software and Microsoft Office software programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, WordPerfect Office Suite). Ability to proofread documents and format them to accepted legal standards. Experience and familiarity with the drafting, organization and filing of legal pleadings and correspondence. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must live in the Las Vegas, NV area. Good organizational and communication skill. Spanish/English speaking is helpful. Must be extremely well-organized, knowledgeable of legal and clerical processes, detail oriented with a take the initiative approach to case management.
