This mid size Orlando office maintains a full service civil law practice. Attorney Recruiting and Event Coordinator Duties: Responsible for the recruitment of lateral and entry level attorneys. Event planning for Los Angeles office of AmLaw 100 firm. Coordinate all aspects of legal recruiting including the day-to-day activities related to all phases of attorney and summer associate interviewing, hiring and orientation. Prepare postings and/or advertisements for open positions by securing approval from appropriate practice area coordinators, drafting the position description and developing the recruitment strategy. Serve as principal point of contact for all non-partner candidates by providing introduction to our office, answering questions, arranging follow-up efforts, collecting documentation, and ensuring all candidate correspondence and/or communication is completed in a timely manner. Establish and maintain positive relationships with legal search firms, manage the interview process, gather and provide feedback on candidates and facilitate the decision-making process, including follow-up for all candidates. Track search firm agreements to ensure all active searches have viable search firm agreements in place. Establish and maintain relationships with law school placement personnel. Plan, organize and administer the Firms Summer Associate Program, including onboarding/offboarding participating in and organizing all events, summer associate orientation, training programs, tracking expenses, coordinating reviews, coordinating and summer associate formal feedback meetings; assist with the work assignment process, prepare end of summer feedback questionnaire and conduct summer associate exit interviews. Arrange and participate in Recruiting Committee meetings. Enter and maintain candidate information in the legal recruiting software (VIRecruit or other comparable software). Track all candidates and generate candidate reports, as needed. Coordinate attorney social events and training programs. Provide support for professional development, diversity and pro bono initiatives as needed. Process all expenses related to recruiting efforts and the summer program. Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices, ensuring consistency of Firm recruiting policies and procedures. Prepare and analyze office recruiting and retention statistics. Additional duties and responsibilities as may be assigned. Coordinate with Recruiting Director and Administrator to determine events calendar. Coordinate all aspects of event set up, tear down and follow up with administrative and office services personnel, including the identification and resolution of problems. Establish standardized event procedures to ensure consistency in accordance with Baker standards. Plan and manage the logistics of an event, including venue, invitations, guests and catering. Communicate with marketing team to create effective invitations and/or advertisements for all events. Ability to create event ideas and plans and to communicate those ideas to various levels of personnel. Track event expenses and review accuracy of invoices. Greet all guests and address all needs. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of experience; equivalent combination of education, training and experience may substitute for education requirement. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Possess thorough knowledge of NALPs principles and standards. Possess detailed knowledge of VIRecruit or other comparable applicant tracking system. Proven aptitude to learn new software applications.
