Third Year Commercial Litigation Attorney The candidate must be an aggressive litigation attorney with 2 years of experience particularly in legal writing and research, with an editing background; licensed in Texas; in Top 25% of the class in law school. Experience with trials, depositions, mediations, drafting and defending complex multi-party motions for summary judgment, discovery requests and responses, and preparing and filing all trial-related pleadings in State and Federal Courts is mandatory. Must have exceptional Legal research and writing ability. Must have experience in the Analysis of financial documents; with Depositions including Apex; in filing and arguing summary judgment motions; with contested evidentiary hearing for injunctive matters; in drafting and responding to discovery; in preparing motions for summary judgment, trial briefs, and injunctive briefs; the ability to review, organize and summarize voluminous documents to marshal evidence for hearings and trials. Must be familiar with preparing trial strategy memos for litigation cases to which they are assigned. Legal Publications are a plus. Comfortable creating dynamic presentations for trial. Must be fully prepared, relaxed, and focused when arguing motions in State and Federal Courts; and a positive attitude and curiosity about the law is a must; Team Attitude. Must fit in with team approach to litigation and transactional matters; all very complex matters and require extensive collaboration. Must be detail-oriented, an excellent legal researcher and writer, and a self-starter.
