Liquor License Paralegal/Specialist The candidate will assist attorneys with the preparation of various local, state, and federal alcohol beverage license applications. Licensing requirements span a variety of local, state, and federal agencies. Therefore, must be able to work independently with a multitude of representatives within those agencies during the license filing process. This mid to senior level position will work with multiple lawyers, and will handle various licensing projects associated with the alcohol beverage licensing industry. Must demonstrate aptitude for legal file organization and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a high-stress environment. Must take general information regarding a client's licensing needs and distill that information into the presentation of specific facts, documents, and statements that are included in a license application. Must work independently with the client and licensing authorities, exercising initiative in overcoming any filing obstacle that may jeopardize a timely filing. Will be responsible for filing finalized applications with the appropriate local, state, or federal licensing authority. The candidate should preferably have experience in business or governmental fields that required the independent preparation of applications for administrative filing. Should be able to work efficiently and proactively, and will be capable of working independently as well as within a team setting and environment. Work experience including efficiency in a deadline-driven environment is highly preferred. Experience in any field related to business administration or legal administration and experience with state, local, or federal agencies in administrative licensing is highly preferred. Must have advanced computer skills including Word, WordPerfect, Excel, Outlook and Adobe.
