Attorney Development Specialist (Process & Operations) Duties: Responsible for driving the operational and logistical components for firm performance review processes including the senior review process, partner review process, partnership consideration process, and mid- and year-end performance review processes (e.g. ensure process runs smoothly and on time, provide administrative support to , the Policy Committee, partners and other key stakeholders). Facilitate feedback collection and review processes, as well as the distribution of materials. Collaborate with ADMs to ensure the process runs smoothly and timely, draft strategic communications, and provide support to Policy Committee members, partners and other key stakeholders. Coordinate with Finance and the Attorney Development and Human Resources Compensation teams to support the compensation process for all non-partner attorneys, including gathering and confirming data that feeds into the process. Work closely with Attorney Development & Compensation Manager to support Flex , the flexible work arrangement program for attorneys, and help drive Flex initiatives. Partner with Attorney Development & Diversity, HRIS, Practice Development, Finance, and Recruiting to maintain the department calendar and ensure that the various departments are working cohesively together in an efficient and effective manner. Collaborate with firm leadership to create, build and implement strategic initiatives, e.g. performance review processes, operational systems and best practices that guarantee organizational well-being. Collaborate with, and support, junior members of the Attorney Development & Diversityteam in their own professional development, including serving as a training resource for new team members. Work closely with the Senior Director, Director, and Senior ADMs to drive collaboration, innovation, and engagement within the Attorney Development and Diversity group, and specifically with the ADMs and Attorney Development Specialists, by creating opportunities for learning, best practice sharing, and innovation at team meetings and open communication channels. Support associate survey processes, including Vault and AmLaw, in conjunction with the Senior Manager of Human Resources. Perform other work-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelors or other undergraduate degree required. 3+ years' experience in HR, HR Systems, Business Analysis, IT or related field required. Established proficiency in the use of computer programs including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Knowledge of electronic databases, viDesktop and Survey Monkey a plus. Proven dedication to excellence in customer service. Excellent attention to detail. Prioritizes and multitasks for efficient and effective work production. Establishes and follows needed procedures. Understands processes and how complex systems are interrelated. Excellent typing, written and verbal communication skills required; ability to communicate confidently and professionally with all levels of the organization. Ability to manage various analytical projects ensuring timely delivery. Strong organizational and task management skills. A high level of initiative and self-motivation. Ability to anticipate problems and issues and exercise independent judgment in seeking a resolution. Ability to interact effectively and collaboratively with and command the respect of all levels of personnel, including various internal stakeholders, attorneys, management and support staff. Demonstrate the ability to maintain the strict confidentiality of the firms internal and personnel affairs and information. Understand details within a larger context and possess excellent attention to detail. Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and comfortable with ambiguity. Sensitivity to interpersonal dynamics with strong presence to interact effectively with various internal stakeholders, including attorneys, management and support staff.
