Insurance Defense Paralegal Candidate will assist attorneys in legal research, file management and case progression activities, compile and analyze records for discovery, coordinate depositions as needed, and other duties as assigned. Must be experienced insurance defense paralegal. Should have general knowledge of operation, practices and procedures of a law office engaged in civil litigation, as well as general knowledge of filing procedures of relevant courts and administrative agencies. Should have strong communication skills; ability to operate personal computer and related legal and business software and data bases; familiarity with transcription/dictation; ability to design and maintain filing, scheduling, and billing with tickler follow-up systems; ability to effectively prioritize duties; ability to acquire skills and/or knowledge necessary to research information and determine the applicability of legal action.
