Legal Secretary The candidate will be responsible to prepare legal filings: format documents, pull exhibits, proofread and redact documents. E-file court filings and open new matters. Document management and organization, and saving to network. Prepare cover letters for attorney bills. Schedule conferences and depositions, maintain attorney calendars. Manage bills for third party vendors, process check requests and follow up with accounting.
The candidate must have 5+ years' experience with defense litigation, experience with insurance defense is a plus. Exceptional litigation skills with strong knowledge of State and Federal Court rules are required. Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to communicate effectively with clients, vendors and attorneys are needed. Excellent organizational skills are must. Ability to integrate into a fast-paced environment and have a strong ability to multi-task is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel) is critical. Must be a team player and be willing to provide support to general office is necessary.
