Litigation Paralegal - Construction Law and Community Association Law The candidate under the general direction of a Partner, this job is responsible for performing specifically-delegated substantive legal work for multiple Attorneys. Many responsibilities are routine in nature but candidate must be able to handle non-routine situations, problems and deviations; must use independent judgment and initiative to determine approach or action to take in non-routine situations. Responsibilities include preparing pre-hearing briefs; monitoring deadlines; monitoring and managing attorney mail; preparing file summaries/file analysis; conducting necessary discovery to prepare for litigation; conducting legal research; preparing correspondence to clients/attorneys/other facilities; scheduling of depositions/ etc. Must have complex litigation experience and knowledge of both Federal and State Rules. Complex Litigation experience is needed. Must have knowledge of Federal and State Rules. Should have knowledge of preparing drafts: request, response, pleading, order, motion, etc. Requires strong computer skills with 55+ WPM.
