Personal Injury/Litigation Paralegal The candidate will work on all aspects of personal injury cases including: Intake, Letters of representation to BI and UIM insurance carriers, Health insurance subrogation letters, Request medical and billing records, Knowledge of medical terminology, Medical summaries, Demand letters, Communicate effectively with lien holders, adjustors, and other interested persons, Complaints, Calendaring and deadlines, Schedule depositions and mediations, Case management, Daily and ongoing data entry into our law firm management software throughout the day, Email, Interact with clients and possible new clients, and assistance with phones when needed. Qualifications: 5 years of personal injury experience or comparable other skills and training. Knowledge and experience in every stage of a case, including pre-litigation, litigation, and post-litigation. Experience in actively managing cases including calculating and settings deadlines. Federal Court experience preferred. Criminal law experience a plus. Experienced with handling phones (phone manners and etiquette a must!) as well as other general office/administrative duties.Anticipating attorneys needs, identifying problems and finding solutions. Articulate with strong communication, writing and editing skills. Proficient with Microsoft Word AND strong typing skills. Experience with Clio Law Firm Management Software a PLUS, but not required; straightforward & intuitive software to learn.Self-starter and self-motivated. Ability to multitask and prioritize a high-volume workload to meet time-critical deadlines with minimal oversight while maintaining a high level of accuracy. High level of integrity and personal accountability with sound judgment. Must have high-level attention to detail, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision but also work as part of a team, be a self-motivated, hardworking individual with strong communication, organizational and editing skills, and be able to manage and prioritize a high-volume workload. Flexibility, sound judgment, discretion, a strong work ethic and well-developed interpersonal skills are essential!
